Mr. Ma Kam Wah, Timothy is the former Executive Director of Project Flame at the City University of Hong Kong. He is a registered social worker, a fellow of Certified Risk Planner, being appointed as JP in 2012, and awarded Medal of Honor by the Hong Kong SAR Govt. in 2019.

Since 1996, Mr. Ma has been actively involved in the development and support of social enterprise in Hong Kong. He co-founded the Social Entrepreneurship Forum with Dr. KK Tse in 2008 and is an active member of the Organizing Committee of Social Enterprise Summit. In Nov. 2015, Mr. Ma was re-appointed as a co-opted member of the Social Innovation& Entrepreneurship Development Fund of Hong Kong SAR Govt. Owing to his outstanding leadership and development of the 24 hours operating Personal Emergency Link Service of the Senior Citizen Home Safety Association, he was awarded The Outstanding Social Entrepreneur (East Asia Region)in 2009 by Schwab Foundation. He is now leading the social innovation and entrepreneurship development in Hong Kong. He offers SE internship and visits for the students, so as to widen their exposure to the excitement of social enterprise operation. He also offers consultant advices to students and new start-ups who wish to take part in SE Challenge Competition and Award or involve in their own SE startup. He also serves as a mentor to the new start-up social entrepreneur. Prior to this, he has served as the Founding Executive Director of Senior Citizen Home Safety Association from 1996 – 2012.
